Meet Your Instructor

Austin Baraki, MD, FACP is an Internal Medicine Physician, educator, athlete, and coach. He maintains active practices in hospital medicine and primary care telemedicine, while also serving as an assistant professor in both graduate and undergraduate medical education.

As a lifelong athlete, he has experience in competitive swimming and powerlifting, as well as coaching athletes in these sports from the local to national and international level. In his role at Barbell Medicine, he contributes expertise from medicine, training, and rehabilitation to create educational content and guide athletes toward their goals.
